Dress Use #32: Soccer Net
In the spirit of the World Cup am posting the soccer net use for my ex-wife’s wedding dress.  Soccer has always been a passion of mine.  Silke and Douglas from RTL German TV were at my place recently and helped me set up one of my small goals with the dress as the net.  They were as fired up for the World Cup as I am and so Silke defended the goal as I attempted to score on her.  In true German fashion she was stingy and wasn’t going to allow me to score for the sake of the story.  She seemed to enjoy it a lot.  I wouldn’t be surprised if she has already joined a team back in New York where she lives.  My brother Colin and I had a good time with Silke and Doug and I appreciate that they took the time to come out to my place. I can only hope that the U.S. squad represents themselves better than I did when they face England tomorrow and in their other games.

    • My daughter says the dress needs to get “more dirty”. She thinks using it for a napkin for something super messy…like spaghetti or somehing.

    • I LOVE this idea! My mother and I are huge soccer fans and play in a summer league when I’m not away at school.

I know you are all about keeping the dress in one piece, but how about adding to it?! Maybe put some s-hooks to hang car keys from (stay organized) or use wooden clothes pins to attach To-Do/ grocery lists…
Maybe a friendly game of hopscotch, four square, tic-tac-toe with a friend…
In the line of dog-friendly uses, a leash would be easy.

That’s all I’ve got for now, but tomorrow is another day…

    • Lol :D I saw it just on TV in Germany ! Very Funny! Have you got contact to your ex wife?

    • No no, i know! as a fishing net!!!

    • you can use it as a cape!

    • Maybe if the US team would have let you play with those cool sandals of yours they would have won.

    • hello. many funny things you have come up with with the dress. i’ll keep reading your blog and see if you can come up with 101 things ;)
