Dress Use #70: Wood Pile Cover

My new year is in full swing and there are a lot of things going on. It is off to a good start. The holidays this year treated me very well. The Christmas before was the first for me and my kids after my divorce. We tried to make the best of it and it wasn’t terrible but it also wasn’t easy. The child sharing that comes with divorce stinks and it is the worst around the holidays when you have to divide days like Christmas. This year my kids woke up at my house and spent the better part of Christmas Day with me. The three of us enjoyed sharing Christmas with my fiance and her little boy (2 years old) who now live with us. It was the first Christmas where the little guy really understood the concept of presents and Santa and my children adore him. It really was a great Christmas. New Years was a lot of fun too. I was able to take the week off between Christmas and New Years which gave me a lot of time to spend with my kids. My mom joined us on New Years Eve for dinner and we let the kids stay up late to celebrate. I have high hopes for 2011.

I proposed to my lady friend before the holidays and we are planning to get married this year. I don’t want a wedding and have been suggesting we run away – it looks like I have succeeded. I’m also encouraging her to buy the biggest dress she can find – with at least a 10′ train. She is threatening to wear a bikini in order to make sure there is no chance I will end up with material for a sequel for my story. I bet I could think of some pretty good applications for a bikini but it won’t come to that.

Happy New Year and best wishes to everybody.

Please keep praying for Tucson and all the families here affected by the tragedy last weekend.

If you need an emergency blanket for your woodpile, I suggest a wedding dress.
